A voice-over of a text with unedited first reflections on issues surrounding a visit to the 9th Biennial of Contemporary African Art in Dakar (2010), written by Destoureles and read by an open-source text-to-voice software application, is paired with footage filmed from a hotel window in Accra. A distinct feature of the work is the fact that the software application produces unrecognizable sounds when interpreting African language-based words. The footage and text was filmed and written, respectively, the day after he visited the biennial’s main exhibition.
